Nepal has entered the final of the SAFF Women's Championship by defeating five-time champion India in the penalty shootout.
Nepal routed India 4-2 in the tie-breaker of the semi-final held at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar on Sunday evening.
Sabitra Bhandari, Gita Rana, Sabita Rana Magar, Amisha Karki scored goals in the penalty shootouts for Nepal's victory.
While India's Manisha, K Purushottam's shots were successful, captain Ashalata and Ranjana Chanu failed to convert their penalty shots. Nepal's goalkeeper Anjana Rana Magar made two brilliant saves.

Earlier, the match was pushed into the penalty shootout after it ended in a 1-1 tie.
Nepal will now face Bangladesh for the title. In the first semi-final held today, Bangladesh defeated Bhutan by 7-1 to reach the final.
These two teams, who fought for the title in the previous four editions, had faced each other in the semi-finals for the second time in a row.
