Nepal lost to America by three wickets in an ODI match of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2.
America reached the target of 287 runs set by Nepal losing seven wickets with two balls to spare at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Monday morning.
Shayan Jahangir hit a century of 104 runs including 12 fours and 4 sixes off 97 deliveries.
Captain Monank Patel made 62 runs, Harmeet Singh contributed 57 runs and Shadley van Schalkwyk notched up 29 runs for the win of America.
In reply, Kushal Bhurtel took the highest four wickets followed by Sompal Kami with two wickets while Lalit Rajbanshi claimed one wicket for Nepal.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal notched up 286 runs losing all wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Captain Rohit Paudel topped the score with 96 runs including eight fours and three wickets off 75 deliveries. Similarly, Anil Sah made 56 runs including five fours while Aasif Sheikh contributed 37 runs.
On the bowling side, Nosthush Kenjige took the highest four wickets followed by Saurabh Netravalkar with two wickets while Shadley van Schalkwyk, Jasdeep Singh, and Harmeet Singh claimed one wicket each.
Nepal will face Scotland in the second ODI match of the ICC Men's World Cup League 2 on Tuesday.
