Nepal has registered a second consecutive win against Kuwait in the ICC U-19 World Cup Asia Qualifiers underway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In the match held on Thursday, Nepal defeated Kuwait by 108 runs.
Nepal restricted Kuwait to 22 runs in 13 overs while the latter was chasing the 131-run target.
To restrict Kuwait from reaching the target, Rachana Chaudhary and Seema KC took two wickets each, while Puja Mahato, Krishma Gurung and Manisha Upadhyay claimed one wicket each.
Earlier, electing to bat first after losing the toss at the Sevens Stadium in Ajman, Nepal had notched up 130 runs in the allotted 20 overs losing eight wickets.
Puja Mahato topped the score with 34 runs followed by Sana Pradhan with 25 runs while Jyotsnika Marasini contributed 23 runs for Nepal.
Nepal now will play UAE on November 9 and take on Thailand on November 10.
In the four-team tournament, each team will play six matches. To be held in double league format, the top teams will book their berth in the ICC U-19 World Cup to be held in Malaysia in 2025. The match will take place from January 18 to February 2.
Top teams from the Asia Region Qualifiers will advance to Group D alongside Australia, Bangladesh, and Scotland.
