Six killed in Darchula jeep mishap, identified

Six people who lost their lives in a Darchula jeep accident have been identified.

Two Indian nationals are among the six killed in the accident, according to the Sudurpaschim Province Traffic Police Office.

The deceased are Indian nationals 45-year-old Mohammad Safir, and Mohammad Basim,18, of the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh, Dilip Bista, 45, of Shailya Shikhar Municipality-9, Nakatadka, Birendra Rawal and Shanti Rawal, 28, of Shailya Shikhar Municipality-9, Lek, and Sudip Bohara, 15, of Dilashaini Rural Municipality-5, Nagaraun.

The accident occurred  when the jeep, Ma 1 Ja 338, was wheading to Gokuleshwar from Malikarjun at 4 am today, informed Police Inspector Suraj Khadka of Sudurpaschim Province Traffic Police Office. 

A total of 13 people were traveling in the jeep. Seven among them sustained injuries. The jeep has fallen some 150 meters down the road after it went out of control, said police.
