A couple have been killed in a vehicular accident in Itahari Sub Metropolitan City-17, Balgram of Sunsari district.
The deceased have been identified as 32-year-old Yubaraj Gurung and his 32-year-old Tika Gurung of Dharmadevi Municipality-3, Sankhuwasabha, the District Police Office, Sunsari said.
According to Police Inspector Dinesh Adhikari, the Assistant Spokesperson of the DPO, Sunsari, both the husband and wife died when the motorcycle, Ko 36 Pa 5637, they were riding was hit by an unidentified vehicle.
The couple who sustained crucial injuries breathed their last in the course of treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, the police said.
The police said they have launched a manhunt for the absconding vehicle.
