The by-election is taking place in an enthusiastic manner for the post of chairman in Gramthan Rural Municipality of Morang District.
The post was lying vacant after former chairman Jaya Prakash Gachchhadar of Nepali Congress passed away.
Balaram Sardar of Nepali Congress, Tulsi Ram Biswash of CPN (UML) and Namo Narayan Majhi of CPN (Maoist Center) are contesting the elections for the post of chairman here in this rural municipality.
