Sudurpaschim Royals defeated Lumbini by 45 runs in the 12th match of the ongoing Premier League 2024.
Lumbini was bowled out for 142 runs while it was chasing the 188-run target.
Despite Bibek Yadav's 77-run score, it could not secure the win. To restrict Lumbini to such low 145 run, Saif Zaib, and Brandon McMullen took three wickets while Scott Kuggeleijn and Abinash Bohara took 2 and 1 wicket, respectively. Sundeep Jora contributed 20 runs while Dinesh Adhikari claimed 14 runs.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipu Sudurpaschim notched up 187 runs losing 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Saif Zaib topped the score with 90 runs including 6 fours and 5 sixes off 61 deliveries.
Captain Dipendra Singh Airee made 39 runs and remained not out. Brandon McMullen and Binod Bhandari faltered early, securing only 23 and 17 runs. Saif Zaib is shining with 70 not out runs.
Ramon Simmonds took the highest 2 wickets while Rohit Paudel and Bibek Yadav grabbed 1 wicket each for Lumbini Lions.
