CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that time has come to change the political course.

Addressing the second convention of the Maoist Center Gorkha-Kathmandu Liaison Coordination Committee in Kathmandu on Saturday, the Maoist Center Chairman said that political course could be shifted only by changing the form of governance and electoral system.

Chairman Prachanda said that his party has been advocating for the directly-elected executive chief and fully proportional electoral system along with the appointment of the expert as the minister. This could strengthen the republican system, Dahal said.

Saying that the unification process of Maoist splinters has started, Chairman Dahal stated that political cadres and people would not obey everything what the certain leaders urge.

Likewise, the Maoist Center Chairman said that political forces divided in different streams should be united now.

He also appreciated the leaders and cadres from Gorkha district for their leadership in ideological and organizational strength since the beginning of the people's war. (RSS)
