Five individuals including former Deputy Speaker Shivamaya Tumbahangphe have been appointed as Nepali ambassador to various countries on Friday.
President Ramchandra Paudel has appointed Prakashmani Poudel as the ambassador to Portugal, Sunil Nepal to Spain, and Professor Dr. Kapilman Shrestha has been appointed as the Nepali Ambassador to South Africa in accordance with Article 282 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal, Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai, the spokesperson at the Office of the President told Nepalkhabar.
Similarly, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal has been appointed as the Nepali Ambassador to Belgium, and Dr. Shivamaya Tumbahangphe has been appointed as the Nepali Ambassador to South Korea on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, according to a press note issued by Shitwal Niwas.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers had recommended 18 individuals as Nepali ambassadors for various countries on July 29.
