Press Center makes clean sweep of FNJ Lalitpur branch polls

The Press Center Nepal panel has made a clean sweep of elections for the Lalitpur branch elections of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ).

Ramhari Karki, representing the Press Center Nepal, and his panel were elected to lead the Lalitpur branch of the FNJ.

While Karki received 243 votes, his rival Ramesh Prasad Timilsina of the Socialist Press Organization received only 63 votes.

Press Chautari Nepal, Nepal Press Union, and Socialist Press Organization had formed panels to compete in the FNJ Lalitpur branch elections.

Shyam Tandukar has been elected as the vice-president, Keshari Pun as the women's vice-president, Deepak Aryal as the secretary, Narayan Linkha Dewan as the joint secretary and Krishna Paudel as the treasurer.

Similarly, Anil Shrestha, Shivahari Ghimire, Kushal Bogati, Pasang Ghising, Bisu Gurung, Ram Prasad Dhakal, Keshav Ghimire, and Shishir Kumar Lama have been elected as members, informed the coordinator of the election committee, Surendra Chalise.

Anjali Tamang, Devi Datta Paudel, Basu Dev Shrestha, Sagar Devkota, Padam BK, Rajkumar Sigdel and Rajukumar Nepal have been elected as members of the National Council.
