The Nepali Congress Bhaktapur District conducted a community outreach program at Suryabinayak Muncipality-5 as part of the 100-day program of the Nepali Congress on Saturday.
The program which began from Sallaghari passed through Kumaldhiki, Tribeni Tole, Bannachaur, Gumanju Tole, Shanti Tole and concluded at Srijananagar.
During a meeting with local residents, leaders including lawmaker and president of Nepali Congress Bhaktapur District Working Committee, Durlav Thapa, gathered information on infrastructure-related problems including the state of roads, the need for graveling and blacktopping, and inadequate water supplies in the areas. The leaders committed to exerting pressure on local governing bodies to ensure these essential services are provided.
Delivering concluding remarks, lawmaker Thapa reiterated his commitment to serving the local community. "Our locality is our Singha Durbar. We will collaborate closely with local governing bodies to effectively address the daily concerns of residents and work toward a better future for the community."
He further shared that preparations are underway to build a water tank with the capacity of 20,000 liters of water to ease water supply in the locality.
Raju Dhungel, President of Nepali Congress Suryabinayak Ward 5, expressed his gratitude to all leaders, cadres, and stakeholders for their participation in the community outreach program.
"I would like to thank all the leaders, cadres, and stakeholders for their participation in the community outreach program and appeal for your continued support in leader Durlav Thapa's endeavors to improve the local infrastructure by blacktopping the gravel roads traversed by today's rally."
