Gold price ups by Rs 1,600 per tola

The gold price has increased by Rs 1,600 per tola today.

With the price hike, the yellow precious metal is being sold for Rs 155, 700 per tola, the Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers Association (FENEGOSIDA) has said.

The price of bullion had increased by Rs 800 per tola on Thursday and Friday.

Similarly, the silver price has also gone down by Rs 15 per tola today. According to the Federation, the silver is being sold for Rs 1,860 per tola. It was sold for Rs 1,845 per tola on Friday.

The bullion had hit a record high of Rs 171,000 per tola on October 31.

The gold price decreased after the government reduced the customs duties.
