Duke of Edinburgh Edward arriving Nepal

British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The meeting, held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar on Tuesday, dwelled on various issues of bilateral relations and mutual interests.

The Prime Minister's Secretariat has informed that the upcoming visit of the Duke of Edinburgh, a member of the British royal family, to Nepal was also discussed on the occasion.

The current 'Duke of Edinburgh' is Prince Edward, the younger brother of British King Charles III. The title was conferred on him on the occasion of his 59th birthday in 2023.

The official date for Edward's visit to Nepal has not been announced.
