The Indians have been deported as part of the repatriation of illegal immigrants since Donald Trump took charge as the US President.

A military plane carrying 205 Indians living in the US without documents is landing at Guru Ram Das International Airport in Amritsar shortly.

According to BBC Hindi, this is the first time that Trump has deported Indians from the country since he took charge of office as the US President for the second time.

Security officials have checked the list of deported Indians and have confirmed that they are not involved in any crime.

Some Indians who land at Guru Ram Das Airport will be taken to their villages in Indian police vehicles. Citizens of other states will be sent home by plane.

According to the BBC, security has been tightened at the airport. The media has not been allowed to enter, the Indian media outlets said.
