Nepal lost to Thailand by 7 wickets in the ongoing T20 Tri-Series held in Kirtipur.
Chasing the 82-run target set by Nepal, Thailand reached it in 17 overs losing 3 wickets. This is Nepal's sixth consecutive defeat in the T20I Tri-Series underway in Kirtipur.
Captain Naruemol Chaiwai scored the highest 27 runs followed by Nannapat Koncharoenkai with 23 runs while Nattaya Boochatham and Phannita Maya contributed 11 and 9 runs, respectively to ensure Thailand's win.
Indu Barma and Puja Mahato grabbed 2 and 1 wicket, respectively, for Nepal.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Friday, Nepal notched up 81 runs losing 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
To restrict Nepal to such a low target, Onnicha Kamchomphu's took 3 wickets giving away 15 runs while Chanida Sutthiruang, Nattaya Boochatham and Suleeporn Laomi grabbed 1 wicket each for Thailand.
Samjhana Khadka's 17-run was the highest for Nepal followed by Kabita Joshi with 14 runs while Rajmati Airee and Captain Indu Barma contributed 11 and 10 runs, respectively.
With this, Thailand clinched the title of Women's T20 International Tri-Series defeating Nepal by seven wickets in the final match held today at Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground.
Out of six matches, Thailand remained at the top position with 10 points by winning five matches. Similarly, the Netherlands stood in the second position with eight points by winning four matches. However, Nepal remained point-less in the series. It lost all six matches.
