Gold glitters; silver loses luster

The gold price has increased by Rs 100 per tola today.

With the price hike in the yellow precious metal, it is being sold for Rs 168,200 per tola.

The gold price was Rs 168,100 per tola last Friday.

On the other hand, the silver has gone down by Rs 15 per tola today. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association (FENEGOSIDA), the silver is being sold for Rs 1,960 per tola.

The silver was Rs 1,945 per tola last Friday.

The gold price had hit a record high of Rs 171,000 per tola on October 31, 2024.

The price of gold and silver went down after the government reduced the custom duties.
