The Nepali Embassy in Bangkok has successfully rescued five Nepali citizens from Myanmar where they were being forced to work in online scamming operations. The individuals, four men and one woman, were returned to Nepal on Friday.

The embassy, in a statement released today, stated that the rescue was carried out with the cooperation with the Thai government. The Nepalis were brought from Myawaddy, Myanmar, to Thailand via the Mae Sot Immigration Office before being repatriated to Nepal.

The Nepali Embassy in Bangkok urged all Nepali citizens to follow the proper procedures for foreign employment, including obtaining labor permits as per the standards set by the Nepal government.

The embassy also requested everyone not to be lured by the temptation of quick bucks and avoid seeking employment in countries like Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand through unofficial channels.
