Gold continues to lose luster; silver glitters

The price of gold in the Nepali market has decreased again today, continuing the downward trend that began on Wednesday.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold has fallen by Rs 200 per tola (11.664 grams) today. The current price of gold is now Rs 170,300 per tola.

The price of gold had decreased by Rs 1,000 per tola yesterday to settle at Rs 170,500.

The price of gold reached a record high of Rs 171,300 per tola on Tuesday.

Earlier, on October 31, 2024, the price had reached Rs 171,000 per tola.

In contrast to gold, the price of silver has seen a slight increase today. The Association reports that the price of silver has risen by Rs 5 per tola. The current price of silver is Rs 1,945 per tola.
