Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' welcoming former lawmaker of Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal, Pramod Sah, to his party at a program in Malangawa, Sarlahi on Friday.

Former lawmaker of Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal (JSP-N) Pramod Sah has joined CPN (Maoist Center).

Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' welcomed Sah at a program organized under the 'Maoist with People; Terai Madhesh Awareness Campaign' at Malangawa in Sarlahi on Friday.

Sah had been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Sarlahi Constituency-1.

Speaking at the function after joining the Maoist Center, Sah said, "I joined the Maoist Center since it played an instrumental role in overthrowing the 240-year-old one-party feudalistic monarchy to establish the federal democratic republic Nepal."

He said he chose to be a part of the Prachanda-led Maoist Center hoping that it would now complete the remaining tasks of the Madhesh movement.

Stating that CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress oppose identity politics, and Madhesh-based parties are opportunist, Sah claimed that the Maoist Center is the sole party that is capable of emancipating the Madhesi people.

Meanwhile, he expressed commitments that he would stand in favor or identity, rights and good governance in the rest of his life.

Alongside Sah, former province assembly member Nira Kumari Sah and other cadres and leaders at various levels of the JSP-N have joined the CPN (Maoist Center).
