Twenty Nepali nationals stranded in Thailand have been repatriated. The Nepali Embassy in Thailand informed that they were rescued and repatriated to Nepal today.

Lured by promises of lucrative jobs in Macau, twenty Nepali citizens were transported to Thailand via New Delhi, India, on January 24. Abandoned upon arrival, they were subsequently rescued by the Nepali Embassy in Thailand and repatriated.

The embassy urges citizens to seek foreign employment only through official channels, adhering to Nepali government regulations, and avoiding being misled by promises of quick and high-paying jobs.

The statement issued today by the Nepali Embassy in Bangkok states, "The embassy requests everyone not to go against standards for foreign employment in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, or any other country."
