Nepal lost to Namibia in the first match of the four-nation International Women's T20 World Cup underway in Uganda.
The game was played under the DL method after the rain played a spoilsport. The 20-over match was reduced to 15 overs. A 71-run target was set for Namibia in 15 overs. Nepal took four wickets during the match.
Nepal's Ishwari Bista took the fourth wicket for the team in 13.2 overs. Earlier, Nepal's captain Indu Barma took the third wicket in 12.2 overs. Prior to that, Sabita Joshi took the second wicket for Nepal on the first ball of the 10th over, and Pooja Mahato grabbed the first wicket in the third over.
Namibia reached 71 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 15 overs.

Nepal had notched up 92 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. The match was interrupted by rain when Namibia was chasing a target of 93 runs.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal lost Samjhana Kumari Khadka as the first wicket.
The Nepali team, which played against Namibia today, will play against Uganda tomorrow (March 9). Similarly, it will play against Hong Kong on March 10.
Likewise, it will play against Namibia again on March 12, against Uganda on March 13, and against Hong Kong on March 14. The top two teams of the league stage will advance into the final.
