The Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSP-N), led by Upendra Yadav, is set to expand its central office bearers and executive committee members.
A central committee meeting of the party has amended Section 29 (3) of the party's statute 2080, to increase the number of office bearers and executive members by invoking 'Section 139: Removal of Obstacles,' according to Purna Basnet, head of the Publicity and Publication Department.
According to Basnet, the party is making preparations to add office bearers and executive members based on ethnic, community, and gender inclusion.
As per the amended statute, the JSP Nepal will add two vice chairpersons, one general secretary, and eleven central executive members, Basnet said.
According to the amended Section 29 (3), the central executive committee will be formed comprising federal council chairperson, central committee chairperson, senior leader, co-chairperson, vice chairpersons, general secretary, deputy general secretary, secretary, treasurer, and 21 members elected by the central committee.
