The Socialist Forum has decided to stage a demonstration in a show of strength in Kathmandu on March 28.
A meeting of the Forum held at the central party office of the CPN (Unified Socialist) in Aloknagar on Tuesday took a decision to this effect.
Following the royalists' stir on Sunday, the Forum decided to stage a demonstration in favor of republic in the federal capital.
"The Forum has decided to stage a joint demonstration against the anti-republic forces," Nepal Samajbadi Party leader Mahindra Raya Yadav told Nepalkhabar.
The monarchists had staged a demonstration in Kathmandu on Sunday. The other parties except those advocating for the monarchy have been opposing the anti-republic activities.
The parties involved in the Socialist Front are planning a Kathmandu-centric demonstration in response to the royalist rally.
General Secretary of the Nepal Community Party, Netra Bikram Chand, 'Biplav' is the coordinator of the Front.
CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Nepal Communist Party and Nepal Samajbadi Party are involved in the Socialist Front.
