CAN classifies male and female cricketers; 5 including Sandeep graded 'A'

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has released its new classification for Nepali male and female cricket players.

In the new classification released on Wednesday, the men's Grade 'A' includes five players: Rohit Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sompal Kami, and Aasif Sheikh.

In the previous classification, Sandeep Lamichhane had been suspended. Apart from him, captain Rohit, Sompal, Karan, Dipendra, Aasif, and Kushal Bhurtel were in Grade 'A'. Anil Shah, who was previously in Grade 'D', has been promoted.

Grade 'B' consists of five players: Karan KC, Kushal Bhurtel, Gulshan Jha, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Anil Shah.

Kushal Malla, Bhim Sharki, Aarif Sheikh, and Abinash Bohara, who were previously in Grade 'B', have been downgraded. Three of them have been downgraded to Grade 'C', while Bohara has been categorized as Grade 'D'.

Grade 'C' includes four players: Sundeep Jora, Aarif Sheikh, Bhim Sharki, and Kushal Malla. Binod Bhandari and Arjun Saud are not included in the classification, and Pratis GC has slipped level to Grade 'D'.

Grade 'D' includes Sagar Dhakal, Lokesh Bam, Shahab Alam, Aakash Chand, Vivek Yadav, Surya Tamang, Rijan Dhakal, Dev Khanal, Basir Ahamad, Pratis GC, Abinash Bohara, and Mayan Yadav.

Pawan Sarraf has been excluded from Grade 'D', while Lokesh Bam, Sahab Alam, Rijan Dhakal, Dev Khanal, Basir Ahamad, and Mayan Yadav have been included in Grade 'D'.

CAN has retained Dipesh Kandel, Arjun Gharti, Hemant Dhami, and Rupesh Singh in the Emerging Category. This time, Arjun Kumal, Shubh Kansakar, and Santosh Yadav have been added to CAN's emerging player category, granting them a monthly salary.

Regarding salaries, CAN has stated that players in Grade 'A' will receive a monthly salary of NRs 100,000, Grade 'B' players (NRs 70,000), Grade 'C' players (NRs 55,000), Grade 'D' players (NRs 35,000), and players in the Emerging Category will receive NRs 25,000 per month.

In the women's category, Grade 'A' includes Indu Barma, Puja Mahato, Rubina Chhetri, and Sita Rana Magar. Grade 'B' includes Kabita Joshi, and Grade 'C' includes Kabita Kunwar and Samjhana Khadka. Grade 'D' includes Bindu Rawal, Elisa Yadav, Sana Praveen, Riya Sharma, Seemana KC, Sabitri Dhami, Roma Thapa, Ishwori Bist, Krishma Gurung, and Manisha Upadhyaya.

CAN will provide a monthly salary of NRs 50,000 to Grade 'A' women players, NRs 35,000 to Grade 'B', NRs 25,000 to Grade 'C', and NRs 20,000 to Grade 'D' players.
