17 candidates file for President of TU FSU polls

Seventeen candidates have filed their nominations for the post of president in the Free Student Union (FSU) election at Tribhuvan University (TU) central campus in Kirtipur.

According to the final candidates' list published by the campus, candidates from All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU), Nepal Student Union (NSU), All Nepal National Independent Student Union ANNISU (Revolutionary), and various independent candidates have filed their nominations for the president's position, informed Campus Election Officer Prof. Dr. Krishna Prasad Neupane.

According to him, Siddhanta Bhatta from ANNFSU, Deepak Raj Joshi from NSU, Praveen Dahal from ANNFSU (Revolutionary), Bilam Suwal from Nepal Revolutionary Student Union (NRSU), and independent candidates among others, have registered their candidacies. There are 6,146 voters in TU Central Campus.

The period for filing claims and objections against the candidates and for withdrawing nominations has been set until 4 PM today. The final list of candidates will be published at 7 PM today.

The FSU elections will be held in Kirtipur on March 18.
