Dinesh Bhatta appointed NDRRMA CEO

The government has appointed Dinesh Bhatta as the chief executive officer of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).

A minister informed Nepalkhabar that the cabinet meeting held in Baluwatar on Monday evening decided to appoint Bhatta as the Authority's CEO.

The committee formed to recommend the CEO had recommended the names of Bhatta, as well as Suman Kumar Karna and Mandip Subedi.

Bhatta is an expert in environment and climate change. He has approximately 20 years of teaching experience in the engineering colleges of Tribhuvan University.

The cabinet meeting also decided to appoint Deepak Thapa as the next Inspector General of Nepal Police.
