Ncell Foundation has commenced the distribution of educational kits, fulfilling its "4 for 4s" pledge made during the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024. On Tuesday, a total of 446 educational kits were provided to students across three schools in Lumbini Province, bridging the gap between cricket excitement and classroom needs.
The initiative, announced last November, promised to donate four educational kits to government/community-run schools for every boundary hit during the NPL. With 653 boundaries recorded, Ncell Foundation committed to distributing 2,612 kits nationwide.
The distribution began in Kapilvastu, where Ncell's CEO and MD Jabbor Kayumov, alongside Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Secretary Paras Khadka, and Lumbini Lions Chairman Ishwar GC, presented 260 kits to primary-level students at Shree Rastriya Madhyamik Bidhyalaya and Madarsa Bahrul Uloom of Kapilvastu Municipality, Ward 10. Simultaneously, in Banke, Ncell’s Chief of Staff Stephen Rodriguez and other officials distributed 186 kits to students at Shree Balakshanti Bidhyalaya of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality, Ward-4.
Each kit contained essential learning materials, including school bags, notebooks, pencils, sharpeners, and erasers.

"In line with our commitment, we are happy to support primary-level students with essential learning materials through Ncell Foundation. Quality education is a basic right of every child, and I believe this initiative will inspire students to pursue their academic aspirations while helping bridge the resource gap," stated Ncell’s CEO and MD, Jabbor Kayumov.
Paras Khadka, Secretary of CAN, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "This is a great initiative that links education with cricket and supports students in their learning under Ncell’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). I am very happy to be part of this educational kit distribution programme in Kapilvastu, spending time with the kids and sharing happiness."
The schools in Kapilvastu learned about the "4 for 4s" initiative through the Ncell Foundation Facebook page, while Shree Balakshanti Bidhyalaya reached out through Ncell’s regional office.
"We are excited about the overwhelming response to this initiative. More educational kits will be provided to students in need from various parts of the country in collaboration with concerned stakeholders such as CAN, continuing our educational kit distribution drive," said Bishakha Lakshmi Khadka, Interim Director of Marketing, Communications, and Sustainability at Ncell.
Ncell's collaboration with the NPL, under the theme "Here for You," underscores its dedication to supporting cricket and sports development in Nepal, while also focusing on impactful social initiatives through the Ncell Foundation.
