CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has stated that he is not running after the post of the Prime Minister until 2084 BS.
Prchanda, who reached Birgunj to participate in the Terai-Madhesh Awareness Campaign today, said this during a press meet organized by the Press Center Nepal, Parsa.
He maintained that the Maoist Center never adopts a dual discourse, regardless of its position in or out of the government. He claimed that the government acted tough against the corruption while in the government and enacted laws in favor of usury victims and those without citizenships.
"Be it in the government or outside, the Maoist Center always maintains its consistent discourse," said Prachanda.
Meanwhile, he accused the Oli-led government of fostering corruptions and ill-practices and demotivating those who are performing well in the government.
Stating that the Constitution is completing a decade, he stressed the need to review and bolster it through necessary amendments through people's support. That is why the Maoist Center has launched Terai-Madhesh Awareness Campaign, he said. He further said that the party is launching soon the Mid-Hill Highway-based Awareness Campaign.
Representatives of various organizations and the civil society put forth their problems and suggestions during the interaction. Similarly, central office-bearers of the Maoist Center, central members of Madhesh Province, district in-charges, cadres and media persons were present during the press conference.
Earlier, Chairman Prachanda took a morning walk during which he met with locals in Birgunj on Friday morning.
