Nepali Ambassador to USA Lokdarshan Regmi assuming office in Nepali Ambassy in Washington DC.
Nepali Ambassador to the United States of America, Lokdarshan Regmi, has assumed his office four months after his appointment.
Regmi took charge of his office in the Nepali Embassy in Washington DC on Friday (March 21).
President Ramchandra Paudel on December 1, 2024, had administered the oath to four ambassadors including Regmi. The President had appointed Regmi as the Nepali Ambassador to the USA on November 10, 2024.
Former Secretary Regmi had served as the Nepali Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
Prior to being appointed as the Nepali Ambassador to the US, he had been recommended as the Nepali Ambassador to India.
Regmi, who had been recommend as the Nepali Ambassador to India during the then government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', got an opportunity to become the Ambassador to America during the premiership of KP Oli.
He had served as the chief secretary of the Nepal government from October 23, 2017 to October 1, 2020.
