Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda has said that the pro-republic forces will assemble millions of people if the royalists gather 100,000 people in demonstration.
Prachanda said this while addressing a gathering organized in a defense of federal democratic republic at Bhrikuti Mandap today.
Referring to the vandalism carried out by the pro-monarch demonstrators at Tinkune, Prachanda vehemently stated that no any forms of hooliganism will acceptable. Terming the monarchy as the residue of feudalism, he challenged that his party will strongly protest it.
"We are for a peaceful movement, currently," said Prachanda, who had led a decade-long Maoist armed insurgency, "If the royalists gather 100,000 people in a show of strength, we will assemble millions of people."
The four-party Socialist Front is organizing a mass meeting at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu in defense of federal democratic republic.
