President prorogues parliament winter session

The winter session of the House of Representatives and National Assembly has been prorogued.

President Ramchandra Paudel prorogued the parliament session on the recommendation of the government and in accordance with Article 93 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

A cabinet meeting held on Monday evening decided to recommend the prorogation of the ongoing parliament session to the President.

The prorogation of the winter session, which started on January 31, will take effect from Tuesday midnight, according to the press note issued by Shital Niwas.
