Nepali U-19 cricket team continued its winning streak in the ICC U-19 World Cup Asia Qualifiers, securing a second consecutive win by defeating Oman by 8 wickets at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground on Monday.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Oman struggled against Nepal’s disciplined bowling attack and was bowled out for 117 runs in 38 overs.
Only Jeet Vrajesh Shah offered significant resistance, scoring 52 runs, while Siddharth Shankar (16) and Pratish Hema Ramesh (10) were the only other batters to reach double digits.
Nepal’s Yuvraj Khatri claimed the highest 5-wicket haul, while Santosh Yadav supported with 2 wickets.

Dayanand Mandal, Aparajit Paudel, and Ashok Dhami chipped in with 1 wicket each, restricting Oman from playing their full 50 overs.
Nepal chased down the 118-run target in just 14.3 overs, losing only 2 wickets. Openers Shahil Patel (44 off 42 balls) and Niraj Kumar Yadav (46 off 31 balls) set the foundation with aggressive batting. Naren Bhatt (12) and Santosh Yadav (10) remained unbeaten, clinching the victory with ease.
In reply, Saumya Bhavin Sampat managed to take 2 wickets, but the total proved too meager to defend for Oman.
