The police have been permitted to continue custody of 24 persons, including RPP leader Rabindra Mishra and medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai, for seven more days.
They were arrested in connection with the violent incidents orchestrated at Tinakune in Kathmandu on March 28.
Spokesperson of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Superintendent Apil Raj Bohara, informed that the custody of 24 individuals was extended for seven more days for investigation after they were produced before the Kathmandu District Court on Sunday.
The District Attorney Office, Kathmandu had sought 20 days for the study and prosecution.
