Two children of a family have drowned in a pond in Sunwal of Nawalparasi West.
The deceased have been identified as 10-year-old Bipsan and his younger brother Dipsan, sons of Bishnu Kunwar of Sunwal Municipality-6, Putol, Nawalparasi West, said Police Inspector of Area Police Office, Sunwal, Santosh Paudel.
Local had informed the police after they saw a child floating in the pond on Friday evening. The body of another child was also discovered in the course of retrieving the child's body, which was floating in the pond, the police said.
The children were 2nd and fourth graders at Janasewa Secondary School based in Sunwal. The police said they are investigating the case.
