Fifteen days after the Pahalgam attack, India has carried out airstrikes on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

According to Indian time, the airstrikes were conducted at 1:30 AM on Wednesday in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Bagh, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad under 'Operation Sindoor'.

India claims that these are the locations from where terrorist attacks in India were planned and executed.

The Indian newspaper Dainik Bhaskar, citing local reports from Pakistan, stated that 30 people were killed in the airstrike in Bahawalpur.

According to news agency ANI, the headquarters of Lashkar and Jaish have been destroyed.

Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said that India fired 24 missiles.

News agency ANI, quoting sources, reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi monitored Operation Sindoor throughout the night.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army clarified that no Pakistani military installations were targeted, and only terrorist hideouts were struck.

On the other hand, sources told ANI that this was a joint military operation, in which the Indian Army and Air Force jointly used precision strike weapons.

ANI, citing sources, reported that the Indian Army selected targets with the aim of striking Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba hideouts believed to be behind the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
