Task force formed to find solution to the Pathibhara cable car row

The government has formed a task force to seek a solution to the long-standing disputes and issues arising from the cable car being built in Mukkumlung Pathibara, a historic and religious area of ​​Taplejung.

A Secretary-level decision of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) on Thursday, formed a seven-member task force under the coordination of Bishal Rai, the social development expert to Prime Minister Balendra Shah, said Deepa Dahal, the Press and Research Officer of the Prime Minister.

The task force has been given a 15-day deadline to identify the long-standing disputes and problems regarding the construction of the cable car to Pathibhara Temple and to submit suggestions for their resolution.

The seven-member task force formed by involving all stakeholders includes Coordinator Rai, the senior divisional engineer from the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, a representative opposing the construction of the cable car, and a representative member of the Pathibhara Area Development Committee.

Also, representatives of the company that is constructing the cable car service, the Undersecretary of the Home Ministry, and the Private Secretary of the Prime Minister's Secretariat are also members of the task force.
