Jawalakhel Zoo shut down after bird flu detected in animals

Bird flu has been detected in the animals of Sadar Zoo in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur.

The zoo published a notice on Friday and informed that bird flu was found in the animals. The zoo has been closed after bird flu was detected in the animals, according to the notice issued by the Central Zoo.

The zoo has been closed since Friday until a further notice is published.

"Since bird flu infection has been detected in the animals on the premises of the zoo, the zoo has been closed since today, June 5, 2083 until a further notice is published, keeping in mind the health of the public," reads the notice issued by the Central Zoo.
