The Ninth Annual General Meeting of the Tehrathum Sarokar Samaj Nepal has unanimously elected a 21-member new working committee led by Dilli Ram Dhungel.
Dhungel, a resident of Aatharai Rural Municipality-1, Musegaira, Tehrathum was elected unanimously as the new chairperson of the organization. He will lead the organization for the next two years from now.
Expressing his views following his election as the new chairperson, Dhungel said the Sarokar Samaj will leave no stone unturned in carrying out social work to ensure the people of Tehrathum feel its presence.
"This is purely a shared social institution of the Tehrathum people and should not be politicized or made controversial on any pretext," said Dhungel, "I commend the seniors' contributions in maintaining its clean image and assure Tehrathum people that the new working committee will leave no stones unturned to uphold and advance its social mission."
Appreciating the team members for their skills and expertise, Dhungel said, "This team consists of highly capable and service-oriented individuals, which makes me very happy and optimistic. I extend my gratitude to the previous working committee for their deep sense of responsibility toward the motherland."

Similarly, Haripati Lal Shrestha has been elected as the senior vice chairperson while Chirinjibi Khatiwada, Keshav Bhattarai and Bhagiman Gurung have been elected as the vice chairpersons of the Samaj.
Yogendra Kurumbang has been elected as the General Secretary, Birendra Kurumbang as the Deputy General Secretary and Kulchand Phombo and Suman Budhathoki have been elected as secretaries.
Likewise, Krishna Gadtaula and Bishnu Khanal have been elected as treasure and deputy treasurer of the Samaj, respectively.
The ninth general conclave elected other 10 members unanimously. The elected members include Tika Sunar Gahatraj, Prem Prakash Gurung, Shankar Prasad Dahal, Bipin Dahal, Dilli Ram Timsina, Chhabi Lal Subedi, Manoj Bhattarai, Saugatsen Dhakal, Parasmani Timsina and Usha Limbu.
Similarly, the first meeting of the newly elected working committee of the Samaj held in Kathmandu on May 10 elected Mohan Kumar Dangi as the chief advisor of the Samaj and Toya Nath Bhattarai and Bijaya Sambahamphe were chosen as senior advisors.
Likewise, the meeting elected other 10 dignitaries as advisors which include Prof. Dr. Om Krishna Sitaula, Jaya Prasad Sitaula, Ganesh Prasad Ghimire, Devi Das Bhattarai, Shreeman Karki, Pitambar Timsina, Ram Prasad Lakandri, Krishna Prasad Dahal, Tej Bahadur Kurumbang and Sanjaya Khatiwada.
The Sarokar Samaj had been established in 2063 BS with the goal of carrying out social services targeting Tehrathum people residing in the Kathmandu Valley.
