At least 15 people were injured after a passenger bus collided against a road divider at Ratnanagar Municipality-10 in Chitwan district along the East-West Highway this morning.
The passenger bus, Province 1-02-001 9162, on its way to Kathmandu from Lahan in Siraha met with the accident leaving 15 passengers injured, said Rabindra Khanal, the Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Police Office, Chitwan.
Some of the injured in the accident have been sent to the School of Medical Sciences in Kathmandu for treatment.
Those taken to Kathmandu are 39-year-old Baitik Ram and 21-year-old Sanjay Kumar Mandal from Siraha, Sakkarkotiya Rural Municipality–5, as well as 19-year-old Salman Thakur and 35-year-old Dharmendra Kumar Chaudhary from Kalyanpur Municipality–6, Saptari.
The treatment of other injured individuals is ongoing at Bakulahar Hospital in Chitwan.

- Ramkrishna Raut, 40, from Madhubani, India
- Chandan Kumar Yadav, 19, Nawarajpur Rural Municipality–3
- Jeevankumar Paswan, 24, Nagarakotiya Rural Municipality–5
- Bus assistant driver Hari Gautam, 27, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–1
- Dinesh Sah, 28, Rajbiraj Municipality–1
The police said further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
