Supreme Court of Nepal has ordered the release of senior vice chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rabindra Mishra.
Information Officer of the apex court, Nirajan Pandey, informed that the apex court ordered the release of Mishra today.
Mishra, who had been arrested on March 28, 2025, has been released after 50 days of his arrest.
The police had been carrying out investigation on Mishra for his alleged involvement in the violent Tinkune incident.
A video involving Mishra and General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana stating that no one should not remain a mute spectator to excite the crowd had gone viral.
Preparations are underway to file a case against Mishra on charges of organized crime, treason and criminal mischief.
Dhawal Shumsher who is also a lawmaker was released on general date on April 20.
Over 100 individuals were arrested in connection with the Tinkune incident. Some were released following some interrogations while 50 people including Durga Prasai are still doing time in police custody.
Two individuals including a journalist were killed and public and private properties were destroyed in the incident.
