Dr Biswo Nath Poudel sworn in as Governor

Newly elected Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Dr Biswo Nath Poudel (right) taking oath from Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut.

The newly elected Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), Dr Biswo Nath Poudel has taken the oath of office and secrecy.

Chief Justice of Supreme Court Prakash Man Singh Raut administered the oath to Poudel amidst a ceremony a while ago.

After taking the oath, Poudel will go to the Ministry of Finance where he will attend a meeting, according to Suman Neupane, the information officer at Nepal Rastra Bank.

Poudel will take charge of the Governor of NRB following the meeting.
