Newly elected Governor Dr Biswo Nath Poudel has decided to publish new Nepali rupee notes in 1000 and 50 denominations.
He announced this decision upon taking charge of office as the new governor of Nepal Rastra Bank.
He had reached Nepal Rastra Bank in Baluwatar and assumed office after taking oath from Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut.
While assuming the office, Poudel expressed commitments that he will play a role to link the monitory policy with the finance policy of the government.
