Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who had gone on a visit to China, has returned home. Leading a delegation comprising UML leaders and government ministers, she completed her 10-day visit and returned to Nepal on Monday morning.
During her stay in China, former President Bhandari held meetings with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, and other senior officials.
Upon the arrival at the airport, Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Minister Damodar Bhandari informed that the visit was successful, highlighting high-level engagements with Chinese leaders.
He mentioned that former President Bhandari delivered a keynote speech at an event, which served as an important forum to convey shared sentiments to the international community.
The visit reinforced the long-standing Nepal-China friendship and mutual agreements, with discussions on cultural ties, economic diplomacy, and the implementation of past agreements, said Bhandari.
The delegation included UML Foreign Department Head Raghuji Mahaseth, Minister Bhandari, and UML leader Karna Thapa, among others.
