With this win, Mexico entered the last 16 (pre-quarterfinals) of the ongoing World Cup. Mexico are also the co-host of the ongoing World Cup.
Mexico scored 2 goals in the first half of the Round of 32 match played this morning. Neither team scored in the second half. Julian Quinones scored the first goal in the 21st minute of the match and Raul Jimenez scored the second goal in the 31st minute.
Earlier, Mexico had won 1-0 against South Korea and 3-0 against the Czech Republic in the group stage.
They defeated South Africa 2-0 in the opening match. Mexico reached the last 16, remaining undefeated in the ongoing World Cup so far.
