Two women killed in Bolero accident in Dolakha

Two women died and another sustained injuries when a Bolero jeep met with an accident in Dolakha. The incident occurred on Friday night in Dipung, Gauri Shankar Rural Municipality-4.

According to District Police Office Dolakha, Inspector Shree Ram Timalsina, the victims were identified as 32-year-old Dolma Sherpa and 45-year-old Phulmaya Sherpa, of Gari Shankar Rural Municipality.

"One other person was injured in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at Rolwaling Community Hospital," Inspector Timalsina said.

The critically injured Dolma and Phulmaya were initially taken to Pashupati Chaulagain Memorial Hospital in Charikot for treatment but succumbed to their injuries during medical treatment.

The accident occurred when the jeep (Ba 16 Cha 7651), heading to Jhyaku in Dolakha, carrying six passengers from Sungati Bazaar, Sindhupalchowk, lost control and veered off the road.

Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the crash.
