Thorough investigation required on land scam involving Patanjali Yoga Peeth: Ex-PM Nepal

Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has reiterated that he was not involved in the land scam involving Patanjali Yoga Peeth and Ayurveda Company Nepal.

Addressing the second plenum of the party's Bagmati Province Committee here Sunday, the former PM viewed that a thorough investigation was required on the land scam issue.

On the occasion, he shared that he was consulting with the legal experts for legal battle. "The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has lodged case at the Special Court. The issue would be further investigated. I have not shared my views against the investigation. I am a defender of good governance. But, the charge sheet has been lodged against me. It will be legally challenged," former PM Nepal added.
