Park with Yalambar's 110-foot tall bust constructed in Buipa

The Yalambar Park with a life-size bust of Yalambar, the first King of the Kiarat Dynasty, has been constructed in Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-14.

The park along with the 110-foot tall bust of Yalambar has been constructed in 30 ropanis of public land at Panchadobato, Buipa.

For the construction of the park in Buipa, Khotang – known as the central region of Kirat, the Koshi Province government has contributed 70 percent and Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi municipality 30 percent of the total investment of Rs 140 million.

Ward Chair Diensh Rai informed that the spacious Yalambar Park would offer facilities such as free wifi, coffee and fast food to the tourists entering here.

"The Park would have all basic facilities. Yalambar's big statue has been erected at the center of the park", he shared, adding, "The park built with the adoption of modern technology has become a center of attraction".

This is so far the tallest and biggest statue ever built in the globe as of now, it is claimed.

Deputy Mayor of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi, Bishan Rai said that the park with life-size bust of the historical personality, Yalambar, has been built to help promote tourism by preserving the history of the Kirat community. (RSS)
