Remittance hits Rs 1 trillion 356.61 billion in first 10 months of FY 2024/25

In the first 10 months of the fiscal year (FY) 2024/25, remittance inflows increased by 13.2 percent, reaching Rs 1 trillion, 356 billion 61 million. 

According to the data released by the Nepal Rastra Bank, remittance inflows in US dollars rose by 10.5 percent, reaching USD 9.96 billion.

During the review period, the net secondary income (net transfers) reached Rs 1 trillion 479 billion and 80 million. In the same period of the previous year, this income was Rs 131 billion, 750 million.

In the review period, the number of Nepalis obtaining final labor approval (institutional and individual—new) for foreign employment was 405,610, while the number of those obtaining renewed labor approval was 280,314.

In the same period of the previous year, these figures were 373,307 and 236,398, respectively.
