The ruling and opposition parties have entered into a two-point consensus to resume the parliamentary meeting by ending the deadlock surfaced in the House of Representatives (HoR).

The consensus has been reached between Chief whip of the CPN (UML), Mahesh Kumar Bartaula and chief whip of the main opposition CPN (Maoist) Center), today.

With the consensus in place, the ways for the resumption of the obstructed House proceedings have been opened.

Earlier, the opposition parties had helped in the unveiling of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) is probing the issues related to the visit visa and immigration. The anti-graft body will take this to the conclusion. The Nepal government will lend necessary support to the CIAA in this process as per the demand", it is stated in the first point of the consensus.

Likewise, the second point stated, "Nepal government has expressed its commitment to take concrete initiative to place necessary arrangements for policy, legal and structural reforms by carrying out study and investigation with regard to the immigration and visit visa issues".
