Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has recently sought information from Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Shmulik Arie Bass, regarding the ongoing war between Israel and Iran and the latest developments arising from it.
Ambassador Bass on Monday met with Minister Dr. Rana at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and briefed her on the recent conflict between Israel and Iran and the latest situation there.
During the meeting, Minister Rana inquired about the condition of Nepalis living there and requested the Israeli government to provide necessary assistance and ensure their safety. During the meeting, Ambassador Bass informed that the Nepalis, who are currently living in Israel, are safe.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal on Sunday had issued a press release stating that Nepalis in Israel and Iran were safe. In light of recent developments between Iran and Israel, Minister Dr. Rana had also directed the Nepali ambassadors in Tel Aviv and Doha via telephone to pay attention to the safety of Nepali citizens there.
The ministry stated in the release that it was closely monitoring the conflict between the two countries and that the Nepali government would take appropriate steps as needed to ensure the safety of Nepalis there.
